Sourced from ROZ Taiwan — may not match Ragnarok Zero Global

This page is translated and adapted from official ROZ Taiwan (TWRoZ) patch notes. Ragnarok Zero Global is a separate release, currently in Open Beta— NPC locations, exact rewards, and mechanics may differ once it fully launches. We'll correct this guide as Global's real behavior becomes clear.

Rune Monument

The scholars of the Midgard Kingdom have long been fascinated by one research question above all: can a card's power be extended beyond the limits of your equipment's card slots? After years of work, they finally found a way — the Rune Wisdom Monument System("Rune Monument").

Rune Monument key art — Turn cards into runes, unlock the region's hidden potential

"Turn cards into runes. Unlock the region's hidden potential." — Rune Monument.

This is a per-character system. Progress and settings are not shared between characters, and are not preserved if the character is deleted.

Rune System menu button, highlighted among the full in-game menu icon grid

Open it from the "Rune System" icon in the Menu (bottom row, next to Auto Battle).

Rune Monument interface layout — 3 labeled sections

The interface has 3 parts: 1. Function tabs (Rune Monument / Rune Codex / Decompose), 2. Equipped stones (top slot, empty here), 3. Stone combo list (Poring Family, Upper Undersea Cave, Umbala, and other sets).

How It Works

Decompose cards → Unlock codex → Unlock stone combo → Enhance / equip
1

Decompose Card Items

Decompose the cards you've collected to obtain the key crafting materials: Complete Runes and Unstable Runes. The list of decomposable cards will keep growing as the scholars' research advances — it currently includes the Poring card family, Kukre, Crab, and others.

Decomposing a Poring Card — 1 at a time vs 10 at a time

Decomposing 1 card: 100% chance of 1–2 Unstable Runes. Decomposing 10 at once: guaranteed 10–20 Unstable Runes, plus a separate 5% chance at 0–1 Complete Rune.

2

Unlock the Rune Codex

Once you have the required card items and materials ready, you can unlock the corresponding Rune Codex entry.

Activating the Poring Card Rune Codex entry

Example: "Rune Fragment of Poring Card's Rune" — click "Activate" once the listed materials (shown here as 4/4, 10/10, 1/1) are all met.

3

Unlock a Stone Combo

Collect enough materials to unlock a stone combo, then collect the specified Codex set to grant that stone its equip effect.

Don't forget to visit the Collection tab to claim your reward after unlocking a combo. Granting a stone its equip effect is only a preview — the effect doesn't apply unless the stone is actually equipped.

Upper Undersea Cave stone combo — 5-set effect preview: Stun Resistance +5%, scaling with enhancement

Example — "Upper Undersea Cave" set, 5-piece effect: Stun Resistance +5% base; +4% more at Enhance +1, +6% more at +2, +20% more at +5.

4

Enhance & Equip Rune Stones

Each stone combo can be further enhanced for a stronger equip effect. A failed enhancement consumes materials, but the failure accumulates toward a higher success chance on your next attempt — every enhancement level has its own base odds and its own on-failure bonus.

Enhancing the Poring Family stone combo — 8% base success chance, +3% per failure

Example — "Poring Family" set enhancement: 8.00% base success chance; on failure, success chance increases by +3.00% for the next attempt.

Tier IV stone combo example — Northern Mt. Mjolnir set, 3-set HIT effect

Example — Tier IV "Northern Mt. Mjolnir Area" set, 3-piece effect: HIT +5 base; +3 at Enhance +11, +4 at +12, +6 at +13, +11 at +14, +21 at +15. The "Unequip" button (bottom) must be used before switching to a different combo.

Notes:Per-character system — progress isn't shared and isn't preserved after character deletion. Only one stone combo can be equipped, with only one set of effects active, at a time. The Rune System interface cannot be opened during Auto Battle, so make sure your character is somewhere safe first. Settings may be adjusted or expanded in future version updates — always refer to the latest official patch notes. Source: ROZ Taiwan official notice #218390 (2026.05.06).
